Member Services
The Society no longer holds Postal Auctions; but we offer the following service
to members
Some of our members may not have access to the
internet, or may not have the time that is needed to
sell through auctions such as E-Bay. To replace the postal
auction, and to provide a service to our members in Australia, our
Philatelic Custodian, David Benson, will act on your behalf, and
place material through E-Bay. Up to 50 items a year can be sent to
David for sale in this way. You must specify your reserve and
briefly and accurately describe the material.
The Society will receive the payment on your behalf, and will account
to you on a regular basis. The commission that will be charged is
15% of the sale price and that will cover all expenses of selling
the item on your behalf. If material is unsold, the lotting fee
that is charged by E-Bay will be to your account, and will be
deducted from any proceeds payable to you.
